What this is
HardwareStoreAtlas is a free directory of hardware stores in the United States, organised by state and city. Every listing has an address; most have a phone number, and where a business publishes its hours or services we show those too. Listings come from open data and from the businesses themselves, who can correct their card at any time — about the directory. Nothing on the lists is paid placement.
Pick a state above, or use the “near me” button to jump to the hardware stores closest to you. City pages show the full list with a map; state pages collect smaller towns that have a single hardware store.

Common questions
Can a hardware store copy any key?
Most can copy common house and padlock keys. Keys marked do-not-duplicate, high-security keys and car keys with chips usually need a locksmith or dealer, so call the store and describe the key.
How do I choose between a neighborhood hardware store and a big home center?
A neighborhood store is often quicker for small parts, advice and repairs, while a larger home center suits big projects and wide selection. Many people use both, depending on the job.
Do hardware stores refill propane tanks?
Some do and some only swap tanks, and a few do neither. Call the store, tell them what size of tank you have, and ask whether they refill or exchange.
What should I bring for a repair or a part match?
Bring the broken part, a photo of it, or the old fitting so the staff can match size and thread. For screens, glass and blades, bring the item or measurements.
Are hardware stores open on weekends?
Many are, but hours differ widely and some close early on weekends or on Sundays. Check the store's posted hours or call before you drive.
